1. Boiler Products Group
Charlie Steyer manages and directs the sales and service of this group, which specializes in the specification, sale, installation, repair and servicing of boilers, burners, and all accessories. The Boiler Group offers complete sales, service, and system fabrication from all locations. In addition, Tate has several sizes of Emergency Boiler Equipment available for rent.
The service operation consists of 56 field service personnel, shop and administrative personnel. Tate services all makes and models of Boilers and Burners throughout the Delaware, Maryland, DC, Virginia and West Virginia markets. Tate also provides turnkey installation and project management services. The Boiler Group focuses on the Building Trades Market, which includes architects, engineers, consultants and contractors, as well as, commercial, industrial and government accounts.
2. Compressor Group
Pete Henry manages Tate’s Compressor Group. The compressed air group focuses on the specification, sale and service of compressors, vacuum pumps and air system accessories. Tate Engineering provides value packages to include the design and manufacture of system packages, turnkey solutions, air system audits, equipment overhauls, rentals, and service agreements to customers in the Mid-Atlantic area. Our 15 factory trained service technicians work out of facilities in Baltimore, Salisbury, Aston, Lorton, Richmond, Roanoke, and Chesapeake servicing all makes and models of compressed air equipment.
The compressor group serves a broad customer base that includes general industrial, pulp & paper, lumber, textiles, pharmaceuticals, transportation, electronics, furniture and apparel.
The Baltimore & Richmond facilities are the major stocking warehouses for new & used equipment and spare parts for all Tate Engineering locations. Both facilities provide package fabrication and repair services for other branches and customers. All locations provide local parts and service.
3. Filter Group
Pete Henry manages Tate's Filtration Group. They offer the Technical Expertise to support Plant and Process Engineers and Maintenance Personnel to ensure that their Filtration requirements are met by the most efficient means and that the products recommended are of the highest quality. Tate is a Master Distributor for major filter manufacturers such as Parker Hannifin, Osmonics, 3M, American Air Filter, and Purolator. Tate services filter applications in the Food and Beverage Markets, Specialty Chemical, Semiconductor and Process Water Markets, Electronics and Power Industries as well as other markets.
4. Pump Group
Pete Henry manages Tate’s Pump Group. Tate Engineering Pump Group sells, services, and installs pumps for all markets, as well as shop assembled systems. Since 1955 Tate has represented leading manufactures of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps and pumping system components. Tate Engineering's capabilities support all current technologies of pumping systems including, PLC controls, variable speed drives, batch metering, and sequencing applications. Our design and application experience provides our customers with cost savings for product and operations.
